Our Story
Founded in 2016 by producer Sukumar Thekkepat, Thekkepat Films is dedicated exclusively to producing Malayalam cinema that is original, thought-provoking, and rooted in Kerala’s cultural fabric.From independent dramas to genre-defying stories, our films reflect both the social pulse and artistic traditions of the region, while appealing to audiences across India and beyond.
Our Founder
Sukumar Thekkepat is an Indian film producer, distributor, and cinema exhibitor with a deep commitment to Malayalam cinema. He has nurtured and backed new talent, bold narratives, and technically accomplished films since launching Thekkepat Films in 2016.
